Helen’s Story: Strength, Perseverance, and Success

Helen Maddox knows that scoliosis is more than just a curve in the spine—it’s a journey of resilience and self-love. Recently crowned Miss Birmingham’s Teen 2025, she’s now preparing to compete for Miss Alabama’s Teen 2025 in March.

“Living with scoliosis is more than just a curve in my spine. It’s a journey of strength, perseverance, and self-love. Some days are harder than others, but I’ve learned to embrace my unique story and grow stronger through the challenges. Here’s to standing tall, even when life tries to bend you.”

To give back to the community that has supported her, Helen is launching “Beyond the Curve: Life and Success after Scoliosis,” a fundraiser benefiting the National Scoliosis Foundation (NSF)—an organization dedicated to awareness, advocacy, and patient support.
