I went to PT today and could not do anything. The therapist did use heat and TENS and massage which helped for a short time but for too long

Melissa--
I have started going to one and she is great. It's such a light touch for the most part and I've found it helpful for muscles that are still aching from doing too much . I've read where it is supposed to help fibromyalgia and problems from lyme disease. I think it's definitely worth a try! JanetJanet

Does anyone know if it is covered by insurance?
I am feeling better today as everyone is gone and my home is mine again. I have not heard from my daughter since she left on Tuesday. Thank you all for your understanding. I am seeing a new PCP tomorrow whom I hope is not so wimpy about prescribing drugs that I need.Melissa

Melissa--
The first one I had was also an RN so she was covered by insurance--but she didn't do the submitting. The second one I go to now since the first went full-time with a hospital is excellent but NOT covered since she is not an RN. At least that's my understanding. JanetJanet

I hope things ease up for you quickly now, while you wait to see the fibro specialist. Good luck with the PCP tomorrow.Surgery March 3, 2009 at almost 58, now 63.

I saw the new PCP today and really liked her. She did prescribe Abilify for me 10mgs . I don't know what to do . I am seeing the shoulder doctor next Thursday and he will give me an injection for the pain in my left shoulder which has started hurting me. The week after that I am seeing the pain management doctor. I am not really thrilled with taking any more meds . Should I wait and see if the pain management Doctor will give me drugs that will help me with the pain which is my big trigger to depression or should I start the Abilify now? She wants me to see a Psychiatric doctor as well if I want anything stronger. The fibro appt is not until March 20th. I really do not know what to do. Thanks for all of your helpMelissa

Melissa--
My pain isn't anything compared to yours but I do feel like she eases tension on muscles around my waist and back that get really tired and sore. The first one charged 80 dollars and the current one 70. I was just going once a month but have done a couple extra since I felt whatever she was doing to align "muscles" made my rib hump appear less prominent. I would google myofascial release and see who you can find in your area. Also I am not explaining it well what they do. Read up on it and I think you'll get a better understanding. Both were recommended to me by others I knew.
I know nothing about Ambilify but if you liked this one and felt she had your best interest at heart, it sure seems worth a try. Good luck. JanetJanet
