It's good to hear your updates. "They" say that you heal faster and better at home, whoever they are. LOL I would have thought they would have taken your staples out before you came home since you were in the hospital for quite a while. I've never had staples either. I would imagine they would itch. It just sounds miserable. I'll be glad for you when you get them out. It's also good that you have arrangements for help at home with PT and OT.

I know for me when I'm at home I feel that I have to do housework. Let it go or have someone else come over and do it. You need to focus on you right now. Every day is a day closer to feeling better. I've been thinking about you.

    Take care.
I am getting my staples out tomorrow at my GP. Dr Bederman's min amount of time before he will take staples out is 2 weeks and that will be tomorrow

I am feeling OK and do not want to push myself with housework. I have to concentrate on me getting better and staying there

        Thanks Jan

              • Melissa,
I have been keeping up to date with your progress but haven't been able to log in. I've been sending positive vibes your way without logging in. I had trouble with my computer and computer viruses.

However, I am happy to hear you are making progress now. That's great!!

Let's hope you will be more comfortable without the staples. This is another step in the healing process.

                Happy Thanksgiving!

                      • Yeah, I suppose they don't want you in germy (is that a word?) water. It would be nice to sit in a deep pool of warm water, although I speak without knowledge since I have not had surgery. I just know that makes my back feel better from muscle spasms.
                        Be happy!

                              • is the itching from healing?
do you think you could be anemic?...or is the weakness from having surgery and
the exhaustion major surgery can cause....?

i hope you start to feel better every day....
