I have an S curve that was 26 deg. the last time I had an x-ray. My curve has not changed very much since it was found at 16 (I'm 28 now). The doctors found out I had scoliosis too late to try a brace, so I was basically told to live with it. However, it does cause pain in my lower back and shoulder/neck area. Sometimes the pain is ok, sometimes it hurts fairly bad, but it is always there to some degree. I have tried PT, I was on anti-inflammatory meds for awhile, and I have done Chiropractic and Massage. Nothing really seems to help, and I am someone that does not like to take medications all the time. My primary care physician basically told me to live with it, and I am not sure she really believes scoliosis can cause pain. Are there any Drs anyone would recommend near Columbus? And it anyone has any other ideas on pain management etc I would be grateful.
Thanks, Jenna
