God is great.Prayers work. There is no cancer. Back in 2005 he had his gallbladder removed . 3 months later , his pain started. Today, Dr Smith went in all prepared to take out his appendix and 1/2 of his colon. It turned out the tumor was a bunch of gallstones ,left over in 2005, that banded together and made a mass that everyone thought was cancer.
Thanks for all of your prayers and good wishes.
Tomorrow I am meeting with the hip doctorMelissa

Thanks so much for letting us know this wonderful news. I can only imagine the relief in your house today. I had my gallbladder out 2 months ago, I hope they got all those stones! Where in his stomach were they positioned, and were they "attached" to any organs? I know my surgeon said he flushed out the bile duct and x-rayed it, in case there were any stones hiding there.
Best of luck with the hip doctor Melissa! Hoping for more good news on the horizon.Surgery March 3, 2009 at almost 58, now 63.
Dr. Askin, Brisbane, Australia
T4-Pelvis, Posterior only
Osteotomies and Laminectomies
Was 68 degrees, now 22 and pain free

We are home.
I went to the new hip doctor. He is very nice. I need both hips done. I am going to wait until next year. I am going to have to decide what I want to have done first. My neck is really bothering me. Each surgery needs 3 months in between to recuperate.Melissa

Wow, Melissa!
I just got caught up on your thread. You've been through a LOT of stressful situations. I'm so glad that your husband does not have cancer. It makes me wonder about how often that complication occurs. I'm so glad that it turned out to be stones for him. I can't even imagine the stress of thinking he had cancer.
I've been thinking about this and honestly didn't quite know what to say. I felt like nothing would have been good enough. I should have let you know how worried I was and how much I was thinking of your family. I'm sorry.
Are you going for the neck surgery first before the hips?
Please take care and keep us updated. Even if I don't post I'm still thinking about your family.Be happy!
We don't know what tomorrow brings,
but we are alive today!
