Your new bed isn't helping? I hope you eventually got some sleep.

              • I'm so sorry for your insomnia. I get it too when my back also tightens and I get nerve pain down my leg. Fortunately for me, it doesn't happen too often.

Do you know what kind of injections you will be getting tomorrow? Don't expect instant pain relief. I had noticeable relief from trigger point injections after about 4 days. After an epidural injection, I had a weird sensation in my spine and it took a few days to kick in and it got better and better over a period of about 2 weeks, then I was totally pain free. It didn't take that long for the last one to "kick in" because I didn't let the pain get that bad. I hope your fibro doctor is helpful. Let me know what they say. I've been diagnosed with "myalgia" but not "fibromyalgia" probably due to the etiology of my pain being dystonia. I think the two are very closely related. If you read the paper I cited on my Dystonia thread, they were talking about "trigger points" being dystonic points in the muscle. They describe, in detail, the physiology behind the smasms. I hope you get some relief soon. It's about time!

                      Hugs,

                            • Today I went to UCI and had 2 appts. I started the day by having a Hip injection with the Doctor that I really could not stand . He is, however , a very good a injection giver. I had a bursa injection in my right hip. Then I had the appt with the fibro doctor. She sent me for many different blood tests as well as X rays of my hands and feet. She did not want to change my meds until she gets the results back from the tests . My next appt is not until August so I just have wait again
