I hope you are far more comfortable now Melissa. Any more test results still to come?

I had a another dobbler ultra sound on my left leg. They found nothing. I am not doing well. My dizziness has gotten worse. Today I almost fell. They cannot get
my pain under control.I cannot put any weight on my left leg without intensive pain.I just do not know what to do

I'm so sorry to hear that. Does the Lyrica have to be taken for a while before it responds to pain? I feel for you with the dizziness as well. Nothing good comes easily, does it? I can only hope this difficult time doesn't last long, and you start to feel better soon.Surgery March 3, 2009 at almost 58, now 63.

You're only five days post op. It can be an awful time. Things do resolve as the days go by. Give yourself time, though that's more easily said than done, especially when you've been waiting so long to feel good. Things will improve.Surgery March 3, 2009 at almost 58, now 63.

Will you have some sort of support at home with family members or a care worker? If not, I'd think going to rehab for a while would be a good idea.Son 14 y/o diagnosed January 20th. 2011 with 110* Curve

just my opinion....
i think you should go to rehab as long as it is available....
there would be people at all hours to help you when/if needed...
it sounds like you are still in too much pain
and the leg issues are not resolved...
better to be where a doctor can be around when needed...
with nurses there to monitor you...
hope the pain eases up really soon!

I can't imagine that you'd have to do four hours of PT a day so soon after surgery. Did you ask what exactly they planned for you if you went to rehab? You should definitely ask what the plan is.Son 14 y/o diagnosed January 20th. 2011 with 110* Curve

Melissa,
I would think that the rehab. might be good until you're feeling better. Surely, your surgeon could recommend the appropriate amoung of PT each day. I hope you're feeling better soon!Karen

I am leaving the hospital today and going home. Going to the rehab today is not the correct choice, I feel as they will require me to do 4 hours of PT/OT daily. My surgeon cannot change that . If I feel , after the weekend, that I want and need rehab, my surgeon can check me in then. This way, I can go home and sleep
when I need to
Hope I feel better after the weekend

I'm happy to hear you are going home at last. That in itself should make you feel better to be in your own home and bed. It's nice to know your doc will put you into rehab if you decide to do so later. Has your leg improved at all?

Good luck Melissa. Glad the leg pain has eased and hope the double vision does too, as your body gets used to the Lyrica. I hope someone will be caring for you as you recuperate. Keep in touch and let us know how you go. Are you still getting dizziness?Surgery March 3, 2009 at almost 58, now 63.
