      • Poor Melissa sure has had her share of work done.....I lost track a few years ago.

Imagine the amount of pain with the spine along with the hip. After she recovers, the correction of all the problems has got to help.

I hope she gets through this quickly

Suzie Bee, thx for the update

              • Melissa has contacted me by email and is doing well. She had her hip surgery and it seems to be a successful one. HOORAY! Her problem with posting is a technical one-- she just can't seem to get on to the forum to post. She is trying to get that problem resolved. Until it is, she is, I'm sure, missing the communication and camaraderie that she had here. I know she would cherish your prayers and thoughts as she continues to heal from her recent hip surgery.

                • Technical problems.....

                  Medical or computer? (smiley face)

I’ve been thinking about Melissa.....and knew that it was something computer related. And in recovery, its almost impossible to deal with these things. Let me guess, username or password?

Glad to hear that she is doing well. Its something that we would love to read about.

                        • Well, I am able to post again. 2013 was not a good year for me. I had my right replaced in August . It popped out 5 times and needed to be replaced. My hip surgeon did not talk to Dr Bederman until November. Then he finally talked with him and put it in another way and it seems to be staying intact. However, I have broken my right femur bone twice , once in August and once in December. It is full of rods and pins and plates. If I fall again and break my right femur bone, he does not know if I will ever walk again. I , also have lymphededema in my right leg. The diluailaid is not working so pain management has me on morphine and methadone. That combination seems to be helping with pain.

Regarding good news, I am a grandmother to a sweet little girl named Yaffa. She was born on January 1st, which was the day I came home from the hospital the last time.

Hope all of you are doing well

                            • Welcome back! Sorry that you have been through so much. Is someone doing something about the lymphedema? I know for arm lymphedema, sometimes massages and compression stockings on the arm work. Check out what can be done.

Great to hear from you finally and take good care of yourself.

I am getting compression stockings next week so we shall see what happens. I ,also, had an EMG test done on my right leg because my surgeon feels that I have drop foot.
