i used to get something called Carafate...it coats the stomach...
it used to be prescription, but i heard it became over the counter...
i would check with pharmacist...you take it before a meal...
or anytime stomach hurts...
only hard part was swallowing it before it started dissolving..
but it is do-able...and helpful stuff...

good...i hope he can help you...
also...i would ask pharmacist about Carafate...i used to take
it before i took prescriptions that hurt my stomach...
it really did help...
later on, i had prescription Protonix for acid reflux....but it was very
expensive...my insurance did not want to pay for it...

hi Melissa
so does that mean it is not caused by bacteria...?
if so, i wonder if that makes it harder to treat...?
i hope not...
i am so sorry you are in pain...
but if stress caused this ulcer, then i am sure no one
would be surprised, because heaven knows you have had such
an overload of stress!! and that is surely an understatement.
i truly hope there is a tx plan the doctors can come up
with that will help with the pain, and help with healing!

Hey, Melissa. I haven't touched base with you for a while. It's good to hear that your hubby has a job. I hope they can figure out how to treat your ulcer and reduce your stress. I had H. Pylori once. It was aweful, but treated with antibiotics. I'm sorry it's not that easy for you.
Take Care.Be happy!
We don't know what tomorrow brings,
but we are alive today!
