I just found this thread. I'm sorry you have to go through more surgery, but of course you know you are in the best hands. Hopefully, this one will be a piece of cake, compared to the first.
I can't believe you have so much going on and this surgery in the middle of it. Yes, please keep us posted. You will be in my prayers.__________________________________________

61 years old--57 for surgery
Diagnosed in 1965 at age of 13--no brace
Thoracic Curve: 96 degrees to 35 degrees
Lumbar Curve: 63 degrees to 5 degrees
Surgery with Dr. Lenke in St. Louis--March 30, 2009
T-2 to Pelvis, and hopefully all posterior procedure.
All was posterior along with 2 cages and 6 osteotomies.

Now though, I think it will be finished, so hope you are feeling ok.
Lorraine.Operated on in 1966, harrington rods inserted from T4 to L3, here in Australia. Fusion of the said vertebrae as well. Problems for the last 14 years with pain.

Hi all,
My surgery went well, just four hours this time. Dr. Rand was able to access the area of stenosis without having to remove any screws or rods which is a very good thing. I am in a moderate amount of pain, but that shouldn't last too long. I just have to wait now for the swelling to go down to see if the procedure worked. I am going home today which makes me very happy. It's about 65 degrees outside and Spring in in full bloom. Can't wait to sleep in my own bed tonight. I'm glad it is over. More later.
