Susan--Thanks for all your info. I worked out quite a bit for years but really upped it the last year before surgery----classes, treadmill, etc. etc. and I really worked up a sweat. Mine hardly seems cardio now but I do bed exercises, some p.t., aqua p.t., and about 30 minutes of walking but I seldom break a sweat--I can't walk that fast. For some reason I could barely stand the elliptical before so don't think I'll use it now. Sounds like it works for you though. I hope someday to return to some of my classes but know that is far away yet. Thanks again. Janet

61 years old--57 for surgery
Diagnosed in 1965 at age of 13--no brace
Thoracic Curve: 96 degrees to 35 degrees
Lumbar Curve: 63 degrees to 5 degrees
Surgery with Dr. Lenke in St. Louis--March 30, 2009
T-2 to Pelvis, and hopefully all posterior procedure.
All was posterior along with 2 cages and 6 osteotomies.
