Ed, thinking much of you. It's so frustrating to have symptoms, especially long-running ones, with no firm diagnosis. At least once you know - you know, & can start on fixing it! I so hope you get this sorted...without surgery, & most especially, with no nasty diagnosis.

Take care, & never let them excise that sense of humour

      Hi Ed~
Boy, do I hate hearing you have a complication. I understand your pain as that was how my lymph cyst was. Something was pressing so hard on my spine that the pain was getting worse rather than better after my anterior surgery. I am sooooo glad you did not ignore how you felt so that this was discovered. I will be praying mightily for you and your Dr.'s as you go thru this journey.

Thinking of you Ed... Hope your intestinal problem is something that can be dealt with soon and easily! I had diverticulitis once that caused lots of pain and high blood counts. I think our scoliosis does have an indirect effect on our digestive system function. If it can bother other internal organs, just makes sense that it can affect that too! Get well soon!!!

Thanx for all the well wishes.

I've been feeling better. The Doc is running Azithromycin through me. Its a full course of antibiotic therapy in just 5 doses.
Then, more blood tests after 10 days and a ct scan of my hard lump.

I did pick up some Celebrex "just in case"

I hope there will be no surprises. sigh Oh well, One day at a time

Oh Ed, I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles (I am just now getting caught up with messages on the board so I missed this thread) Good for you getting to the Dr. though - Hopefully the meds will help and they can figure out what's going on.

                  dirty pics

I'm going in for a ct with oral solution in 1 hour. I have to drink 2 bottles, banana flavor and fruit flavor. I asked for Jack Daniels flavor, but they were out due to high demand.

They will also use iohexol through an IV for viewing veins.

I should be glowing like a Halloween skeleton here soon.

Its funny, You ever see a skeleton sitting on a toilet ?

                            gall stones

I went down to the hospital and picked up my reports this morning and they revealed gall stones. The pain has subsided since I have been eating like a rabbit. That is necessary as I cannot process the fat, and that is why I'm losing weight.

I've been eating apples like Johnny Appleseed for the pectin which supposedly reduces stone diameter.

The gall bladder diet sucks. I'm trying to get used to it.

Sorry about the gallstones, but it must be good to know what the problem is. That's too bad about the diet and losing weight... but hopefully you won't be on it for long. What's the next step? Thinking of you! And praying too. Susie
