follow up for infection

    I am sure Sharon will appreciate all your concern. I haven't heard anymore from Bud-- will let you know when I do, unless he posts for her.
    71 and plugging along... but having some problems
    2007 52° w/ severe lumbar stenosis & L2L3 lateral listhesis (side shift)
    5/4/07 posterior fusion T2-L4 w/ laminectomies and osteotomies @L2L3, L3L4
    Dr. Kim Hammerberg, Rush Univ. Medical Center in Chicago

    Corrected to 15°
    CMT (type 2) DX in 2014, progressing
    10/2018 x-rays - spondylolisthesis at L4/L5 - Dr. DeWald is monitoring

      She's back home now--

      I just got an email from Bud-- I copied and pasted it here:


      They have redone the pick line and she will be on that for two to four weeks. Then they will put her on orals in a step down program three a day for a few months then two etc.
      They have also started a monitoring program for blood work.
      They at first said she would come home tomorrow but things worked out so well we just got home.
      We had been fighting with the doctors about getting a testing program in place since the visit with the infection guy two days after the pick was removed. (1.5 weeks ago)
      We have been told we won't have to see that doctor again , We have two others from that department.
      I'm just glad we took matters into our own hands this time and didn't wait for the doctors. Once we had her re-admitted they had to fix it.
