But here what he said 3.5 years ago. The thing is my foot doctor said 3.5 years ago said that I might need surgery but try pt and bracing first but my insurance payed for a couple sessions of pt and denied the bracing: so surgery might be Likely

I hope your foot pain isn’t too bad.....
I would think carefully before having any foot surgeries as the foot is complicated.
Tamena works for a podiatrist, perhaps she will post on this topic.

Hi Kara,
Sorry to hear about your foot pain…I have severe foot pain from plantar fasciitis and it is just awful. I understand how you feel when your foot hurts so badly you can hardly walk.
I hope you will be able to try bracing if the surgeon thinks it might help. Please let us know how your appointment goes.

dear Kara
i am so sorry you are in so much pain...
i looked it up online, as i was not familiar with the term
you used...it means a very high arch that will not flatten
with weight on it, yes...??
you have it in one foot, not both feet...?
i understand what you wrote about PT and bracing...
but i am wondering if you have consulted with more than one
foot surgeon...
i am asking because the internet mentions that more than one operation is often needed to fix the problem...
that is what i am concerned about...
perhaps consulting with a few different foot surgeons might
help you see if one operation is expected to be enough to
correct the problem....?
i wish there was another way to deal with it that did not involve
surgery....
hope the pain eases off and that you get some relief.
hugs from jess and Sparky

he Kara
i am glad you have found a surgeon that you feel comfortable
with...
i hope when you see the doctor again, you will be able to
find out what to expect, what the surgery is like...
wishing you better days of less pain.
