How different our experiences are. I showered on my own as soon as the tubes were removed and washed my hair. I was given no restrictions, and my incision was uncovered. (I didn't have external stitches.) If my memory serves me correctly, this was around Day 4-5. I also get oily hair, so I was thrilled to be clean again.
I do remember a nurse coming in to shower me and found me sitting up in bed in clean pyjamas, with wet hair - she was a bit surprised!Surgery March 3, 2009 at almost 58, now 63.
