Yes I was warned. My surgeon told me that after he was done, I wouldn’t be able to withstand the pain, it would feel like I was hit by a freight train, so they would keep me under for several days in ICU. My shoulder was also broken from a devastating ski crash. The pain was going to kill me, and was given 2 years to live from another Doctor. I had to beg Dr Menmuir to do it, I knew he could pull it off, and he did.

My low end was shot. Major degeneration, my L5 looked like the state of Nevada, and my sacrum looked like the state of Hawaii. Now, they look like North and South Dakota. lol

    Q. Side effects from anestesia?
    A. Watch the video below, it will explain.

Brenda, Thank you for bringing this up. Hopefully if you mention it to the staff they'll be able to be proactive about preventing nauseau. I was nauseaus after one of my csections and it was very scary. It's funny you mentioned about going out to dinner before a previous surgery with your husband. I was thinking of the same thing, going out to eat for a good meal, as I don't know when I'll be able to do that again. But, it seems lighter and blander is the way to go. I haven't recieved any presurgery instructions yet, but I have preadmissions testing tomorrow as well and I'll be sure to ask them. I'm a little thrown because my surgery is scheduled for 2pm (I feel like it's a tee time - but the docs office assured me this isn't uncommon). So, I'm thinking of eating a meal around 9 or 10pm and then having a glass of milk (with a splash of coffee if they'll let me) around 5:30 am. Janet, the gatorade is a good idea too.

I thought it was HILARIOUS! I hadn't seen that guy since forever so it was a great trip down memory lane.

          I also love Dean Martin.

I remember thinking that he was really drunk. I didn't realize it was an act. I was a kid.
