Thanks ladies. My gyno once told me that he won't check to see if I've gone into menopause etc till I've had no period for six months - which is why I'm waiting!

Lynette, it looks like we are all in same boat here. I went off pill a month before surgery then had a surprise period one week after surgery. Then missed two months then finally had it. I had thought for sure I was done with them.

Of course, I got my period the morning of the surgery and the doctor said no big deal. I don't recall much about the week after surgery so don't really know how I dealt with it. I skipped a month and then my normal cycle returned.

I had forgotten to ask my doctor today at my visit what is the norm, so on the way out I asked his personal assistant, and he said from what he understood, though he wasn't completely sure, that most have had their menstrual cycle back by this stage. So here's hoping, Aunt Flo stays away from me forever!!!
