She is an adult and can defend or apologize for her actions herself, but I just want to add that at that same time, on another thread, I shared with folks the disappointing news about my daughter’s experience with the SpineCor. As with Schroth and Clear, SpineCor had little in the way of independent peer reviewed literature to back it up. Nevertheless, after careful thought and deliberation, we decided to give it a try. In my daughters case, it turned out to be, I dont know the exact word to use, but xxxxxxxxxx is close (I edited the word because I don’t want to get sued). Sharon spent weeks going through the literature with me and I believe Sharon was rooting for my daughters’ success rather than rooting for her words of caution about this unproven treatment to be shown to be correct.
I guess my point is, at about the same time you made your initial post on this thread, her reply may have been wrongly swayed somewhat by the recent news of my daughter’s poor experience with another alternative treatment.
And it looks like, unfortunately, that reply set the tone for most of this thread.

I am not in charge of policing woo-woo around here. That is my new mantra. I will operate that way from now on. I think I was taking on a role that was neither offered to me nor which I particularly enjoy in trying to help. But one person's "help" is another person's "attack." Firstly - i agree, scoliosis is a difficult condition to deal with - whether we are patient or parent, and that - in and of itself - can indeed make life more interesting than would be desired. As a parent myself, i can appreciate your position.
Just curious ...
(1) what exactly is it that you consider woo-woo, fairy dust and/or pink and purple stuff?
(2) what exactly is it that you consider valid treatment for scoliosis?
(3) Do you also have scoliosis?

Anything using a principle that has largely been discounted for good reason.
Anything that makes claims without controlled studies.

I doubt I have scoliosis. I do have a two-level natural fusion in my lumbar that is likely a sports injury. It appears to be propagating after being stable for several years... I can't stand for very long these days without it hurting my lower back. And I recognize that pain from when my disc was going.Sharon, mother of identical twin girls with scoliosis

I like field work. I like lab work. Both beat office work though that is necessary.Sharon, mother of identical twin girls with scoliosis

And if you haven't caught it yet... I'm making subtle references to an old joke: How do you know farmers are good at what they do? Cause they're always outstanding in their fields.
