The good thing is that doctors are learning more and more who the best candidates are for both VBS and tethering so that the vast majority of these surgeries have an excellent chance for success (if the doctors don't think the procedure has a good chance for success, they will not put a patient through surgery). As I stated above, you need to have a decent amount of growth remaining for either VBS or VBT (tethering).
