Just diagnosed at the age of 38 - do I need to see a specialist?

    I wasn't diagnosed late, but I didn't see a specialist until I was 25... or 24.

    Definitely see a specialist, even if it's just to get your cobb angle degree measured correctly.

    My surgeon didn't advocate surgery for now, though he told me I'll eventually need one done. All the literature says I should be fused with my type of curve but since I'm stable he's being conservative.

    He did say if I had seen a specialist earlier in life as a teen I'd be fused by now. I'm glad that didn't happen...
