hi all, i have all the same problems with the residual curves, no rods, old fusions, i am 55, had lumbar and thoracic fusions at 11 years old. lots of pain, have spurs, stenosis, etc. a few weeks ago, lymph nodes under arms started to hurt. primary care doc tried antibiotics for a week, but white blood count stayed high. now all the glands hurt, thru out my whole body, chest, groin, abdo, etc. got sent to a cancer specialist yesterday. he tells me that this is due to nerve damage, and that i should have pain doc increase the topamax i take for the nerve damage in my legs. this makes no sense to me at all. has anyone ever heard of anything like this? i can see a few glands in the same area being affected, but thru the whole body? can't get it out of my head that they are missing something. somedays are worse than others. but the more i read and think about this, the less sense it makes!
    thanks all,
    sharon

sharon, if you are having neuropathy i would look to the topamax as a possible cause. i also take it but for migrane prevention and accidentally increased the dose too fast and one of the side effects is numbness and tingling of the hands/arms and feet/legs. i would definatly talk to your pain specialst or even see a neurologist for this condition. good luck finding the answer for the pain in the glands.
