the right side of the front area of my rib cage sticks further out than the left , which I think may be caused by a twist (not curve) in the spine causing the vertebrae to turn forward on the right side, , is there any exercises to help untwist the spine/ twist it the opposite way?

Back to your original point, if there were a way to untwist the spine, it would also get rid of the curve. That is because the curve is caused by the twist. So you are really asking can PT cure scoliosis.
I think only surgery has been effective at untwisting spines. The reason is because the vertebra at that point are longer on the front edge and/or they have become wedged form the curve being there for years. So no amount of PT (or bracing) is likely going to be able to untwist the spine.Sharon, mother of identical twin girls with scoliosis
