    Hi! Im new to this sooo...
    My daughter (20) has found out that her rod has broken. She had surgery 2 years ago and started having pain this past spring.We went to the Dr. and the x-rays showed it was broken in half..
    titanium...She is still in pain and he has her on Bextra until he can figure out what to do...anyone out there had this happen?..and what helped you?

    Dr. David Bradford, who is arguably one of the top scoliosis surgeons in the world, told me that a broken rod means that there is an area of non-fusion. I'd recommend that your daughter get a second opinion from another specialist. Is your daughter also in North Carolina?
