Hi, my name is Valerie, but you can call me Val or V.
    I wore a Boston Brace from 2007-2010
My curves were 30 and 31
I now have only a single curve which stands at 35 degrees.
I owe all of my blessings to The Lord!
I am very thankful with where my spine is at right now.
I want to meet some new people on this forum!

Hey! sounds like you're doing well with your brace. I'm also anxious for my next appointment because last time my biggest curve went down 18 degrees (and I had only had the brace for a few weeks!) And I can strap my brace sooo tight, way past the marks my orthotist set as my goal, and i still have over a month left before the appointment! I hope this means my doctors will either reduce my hours or I won't have to wear my brace for two years like they said originally.

I'm also excited because tonight during my three hour break I'm going to the chorus concert at my school and without my brace I am just so comfortable and confident! But after a while, it feels like my bones are all jumbled up inside me. Anyway, best of luck!

        Diagnosed in '06'
Wore TLSO brace for 18 mo.
Upper curve 40 degrees; lower 35 degrees
        Surgery in March '08' (T6 - T11)
Rods for 7 vertabraes; 3 fused
Still have lumbar curve (T12 - L4) of now, 33 degrees
I have osteoarthritis, 3 bulging discs, stenosis, fast progressing lordosis, vertebrea twisting (vertebreas almost on side) all in lumbar spine. Will most likely have another surgery to extend rods and fusion. :'(

I've always been told that most girls are done growing within two years after starting their period. This isn't always true, but it is a guide as to when you might be done growing.
