I'm 15, 28 degrees, have to wear a Boston brace for 21 hours a day for about 2 years.
Stephanie. Fifteen.
Boston Braced Since March 26, 2009.
2 thoracic curves: 28 and 22 degrees.
1 lower lumbar curve: 14 degrees.
One leg is longer than the other; pelvic tilt.
Curves are reversing in my brace!
Mother and sister with mild scoliosis,
and treatment was not required.
"I am uneven.
2 Halves.
1 body.
A curve.
So what?
Mistakes.
They lie.
Within.
My spine.
I.
Do not.
Match up.
Inside.
And outside.
I am uneven."

Hey,
My curve before brace was T40 and L35.
Wore TLSO brace for 18 months...23 hours aday (except last three months in which I was allowed to wear 18 hours aday.)
Surgery in March '08' curves then were T44 L32
Now 14 months post surgery curve where the rods are is 15 degrees in thoracic and the lumbar is 31...may be higher ...
Interesting thread ...I am curious to see what others are.Diagnosed in '06'
Wore TLSO brace for 18 mo.
Upper curve 40 degrees; lower 35 degrees
Surgery in March '08' (T6 - T11)
Rods for 7 vertabraes; 3 fused
Still have lumbar curve (T12 - L4) of now, 33 degrees
I have osteoarthritis, 3 bulging discs, stenosis, fast progressing lordosis, vertebrea twisting (vertebreas almost on side) all in lumbar spine. Will most likely have another surgery to extend rods and fusion. :'(

Yeah,
It is called a TLSO or other wise known as the Boston Brace. Mine was custom made too. How are all of you doing with your braces?Diagnosed in '06'

I have a S curve, (that's where I got my name on here it is an S for Sarah! )
My Mid-Throatic curve is really long it is 10 degrees though, but it starts to curve at like my neck.
My Lumbar curve is 20 degrees but I think it worsens a few degrees throughout the day, which I have heard of. My whole body is tilted a little but not as bad as it used to be.

I'd like to correct my above post. I said my curve was 28*, suggesting I only had one, but that's not so! I knew that was my highest out of brace curve, but I actually have two others!
I have a mid thoracic curve of 28*, a lower thoracic curve of 22*, and a lower lumbar curve of 16*. But no cervical. and thank goodness because the cervical extensions scare me to death!
3 curves! holy guacamole! Do most of you have 2?
Anyway, as you can see in my signature, my biggest curve went down to the most in my brace, all the way to 10*! And the others are now both twelve.
