Hi -wendy from Connecticut here. I saw my Dr yesterday for my 1st post surgery yesterday and he told me that he got my scoliosis to below a measureable curve. Initially he said it would be in the 20's. Needless to say my whole family is freaking out. I have a started this new thread and attached the pictures of before and after AGAIN. Please excuse my lack of humility and need for attention but this is one of those times I'm just going to go for it. 1-in the hope that there are those of you that might come and cunsult with my surgeon, Dr. David Bomback at Ct Neck & Back in Danbury...and 2. Realize that this surgery does not have to be a fear inducing nightmare.
I have had a positive experience with the hospital (Danbury Hospital) and the Rehab (Bethel Rehab) and have only good things to report. If I weren't desperate to get home to my 5 year old I would stay here at rehab a few more days or even weeks because they are so great and I am getting so much better.

surgery date oct 6th 2008
lumbar curve 47 degrees to less than 3 degrees
still in inpatient rehab, walking unassisted and getting better every day.
