My daughter was fitted for her first brace April 07 and was told yesterday August 21 that its too small and she needs a second Boston Brace. My "equiment" allowance with HMo Blue is depleted but the Brace people think we can get a medical necessity exception. She's grown immensely in these 4 months in all dimensions and the current brace can hurt her if she wears it at proper strapping. Anyone else have any experience fighting the insurance companies for payment when the allowance is depleted?
