That's a pretty long scar. Where were you fused from and how long ago did you have your surgery?

Your back looks beautiful!!! I wish mine looked like yours! I think that is one of the biggest differences (besides recovery time) with having the surgery done at an earlier age. You get a much better look than us who are just now having it done in our late 40's & 50's.

        April 8 & 12, 2004 - Anterior/Posterior surgery 15 hours & 7 hours
        Thorasic - 79 degree down to 22
        Lumbar - 44 degree down to 18
        Fused T2 to sacrum
        June 2, 2005 - Pedicle subtraction osteotomy @L3 7 hours
MAY 21, 2007 - Pedicle subtraction osteotomy @ L2, extended the fusion to S2 and added pelvic instrumentation 9 hours

        FUSED T2 - SACRUM 2

My daughter is fused from T3-L2 and her scar is about 14 inches long. Her's runs from just below her neck to just below the waist band of her pants. Her fusion and scar length are almost exactly like yours.

                Wow!

Your scar looks really well healed! My son had his surgery on July 10, so you are about a month ahead of him, but it gives up hope for the future that his will look pretty good soon, too! Did you put anything on it? He was fused T3 - L4 and his scar is exactly 21 inches long.

Thanx, and no I haven't put anything on it.

PS If you look carefully at the bottom of the scar it sort of looks like railroad tracks because I had staples yanked out. lol

wow, very nice! looks like it will heal up nicely!

i have the same scar, and as crazy as it seems, i love it and dont want it to go away. But, my scar is covering up so well that with each passing day, it seems to disapear a bit more. It makes me really sad my scar is a part of me now. I dont want it to become almost invisible...
