You should probably let us know the Dr's name and see if someone on here sees him already. Where do you live? I live in CA and my son who is 12 yrs old with severe congenital scoliosis goes to Childrens Hosp Los Angeles. Very good Dr's. Also, what type of surgery? My son has had two spinal fusions when toddler and rods inserted also and a Halo. If we know more details then can be specific on which type of questions. You also might want to get a 2nd opinion depending on circumstances,etc...
Hang in there!
