I was diagnosed with adolesent scoliosis at the age of 9 years old. I had about three xrays and was told my curves were minor( S shape). I am now 34 years old. No x-rays since I was 13 years old. I have been having aches and pains on and off since the birth of my second child( 2 years ago). Back, joints, and muscles. The doctor has ruled out any blood issues and I was put on depression meds. I never thought to tell the doctor I have scolosis.I am still having the physical problems. My question is could my scoliosis have something to do with the aches and pains? I haven't taken any pain pills and usually try to put up with it.( I also have had migraines since I was 9 years old, those I do take pain pills for, so I try not to take them for anything else) If anyone could help me with this I would be very grateful. I am getting very worn out because of this.

What you're describing could definitely be related to scoliosis. It sounds like you need to have x-rays to determine if things have progressed. Find a spinal specialist in your area- particulary one who really deals w/ scoliosis. Maybe you'll get a script for physical therapy which really helped me at times. It was after I had my second child that I really started to notice differences. I'm sure it will be somewhat of a relief to find out what's going on. This is a great site - lots of caring people to help.

Definately sounds like it could be related to the scoliosis. I have kyphoscoliosis that went untreated - I am now 28, and my back, neck and shoulder muscles are all completely unbalanced. So they all give me muscular pain of some description, including migraines. I'm doing a heap of physical therapy, and this is slowly reducing the pain.
I'm hoping to get in to a neuro over the coming weeks to check if my migraines are stemming from pinched nerves in my shoulders and neck. Probably something that would be worth you trying out also - there's a lot of theories regarding migraines and where they come from, but pinched nerves are definately one of them.
