  • 3 year old with curvature of spine

I noticed right before my son's 3 year old check up that the lower part of his spine was fairly crooked. I asked his pediatrician about it and she said she would wait until he was 5 years old to do anything about it. Is it best to weight to see if he grows out of it. We have not had any x-rays or anything done at this point. I am just looking for some advice.

I posted to you on the other page. I strongly encourage you to get at least one or two opinions about Zachary's spine/back from pediatric orthopedists, preferrably ones who specialize in spine issues. Shriners is a good facility, but I would hope that you could find another opinion from a children's hospital or teaching facility with a pediatric ortho dept. Please let us know what you find out.
