Was wondering if there are others here that had spinal fusions 40+ years ago & how how are your bodies holding up as you advance in age. I had an almost total fusion (bottom 3 discs not fused) when I was 5 years old (55 years ago)(No rods). I have led a fairly active life, many of the normal activities as a child, golfed, travels etc as an adult. Now as I near 60 it seems my body is falling apart. Muscle weakness, numbness of hands & legs, fatigue, shortness of breath (attributed by Pulmonary dr as Scoliosis Pulmonary Compression).
So would love to hear from others.
