  • I did it!!

    Day 1 after surgery!!! Feel reAlly good. Will write more tomorrow, it's hard to concentrate on such a small screen! I'm posting, not the hubs. thanks for all your help!!! Couldn't have done this without his forum!!

    I am so happy for you! It's amazing that you can type. Can't wait to hear more when you feel well enough to post.

      Congrats!

      wow! Congrats! I can only hope in a week and a half I can do the same! That's awesome that you are able to post yourself. Keep us posted on your recovery.

              I am amazed at your being online so quickly. I don't think I thought about the internet for three weeks!

              Was 68 degrees, now 22 and pain free

                Wow! Already able to get on the computer, I am shocked. Keep us posted on how your recovery is going. I have surgery in a month and will be watching your updates with an eagle eye. : )

                  Agreed! I could barely move much less get online for at least 5 days post op!!
                  50 years old!!!!!

                  Original curve 36 degrees ( measured in the 70s)
                  Advanced to 61 degrees 01/2011
                  Surgery 07/11/2011
                  Fused T1-L2 (curve now in the 20s!)

                    So today was pretty bad. They took me off of the dilaudin drip and doubled up my norco and woah let me tell you.... The worst nausea, headache, stomach ache I've EVEr experienced. The only thing I could do was sleep it off (for 7 hours) . Still don't feel as strong ad yesterday, but walked around just now and that feels good to be mobile. I told the Dr's is rather feel my back pain then feel how I did earlier. Hopefully the rest of the day gets better!! talk soon!!

                            Wow, King! You must have one heck of a pain tolerance. I'm sorry you had a bad day with headache and nausea. Congrats on your surgery. I hope your recovery is as good as your first couple of days have been (minus the nausea and headaches). I'm really amazed at how quickly you were on the computer!
