      Thanks everyone

It provides tons of encouragement that others have made it thru successfully. Hasn't been a lot of time to fret due to all the prep but reality has set in tonite. I humbly apprecIate all the prayers and well wishes. Hubby will post here hopefully since I gave him a brief iPad tutorial lesson tonight. See you on the other side!

        Pam,

Good luck tomorrow! When you're back in the swing of things, you might want to change your signature since your date was moved.

            1st update

This is Pam's husband. I received the 1st update at 8am as promised. Things are proceeding fine. They started the procedure at 7. We got here at 4 and they carried her back to the OR at 6. I'll give another update later this morning. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

                2nd update

I got update 2 at 10:15...they have a couple of screws in the bottom...no ETA yet but the nurse said it was progressing nicely. With the short notice of the surgery Pam didn't have much time to get nervous, but it hit us pretty hard this morning. I think the knowledge from this forum probably helped lessen that some.

I'll post another update tis afternoon

Great news! Stay with her if you can tonight. She might need your advocacy for pain control or whatever. At any rate it will make her feel better to have you there. So glad to hear it went well!!!

                        Postop update2

I just left the recovery room. It took about an hour but they did get her pain under control. She is taking some ice chips now and moving her hands and feet a little. That's all for now, we will give another update tomorrow.
