  • 2 yr visit update

Had my 2 year visit with my ortho last week, the major curve is now at 60 degrees. He said I could have surgery if I wanted, and he’d do it if I wanted. Decided to hold off for now, another visit in 2 years. I’m guessing in about 5 years I should seriously consider a correction, at the rate the curve is progressing I’ll hit around 70 in that time frame.

For now, I’m keeping my flexibility.

    Hope everyone is doing well!

Are you experiencing any pain or issues with a 60* curve?

I have some pain issue, but nothing so bad it’s debilitating. I have started having shoulder problems which I think the rib hump is contributing but my doc said I could try TheraBands (resistance training) to strengthen my rotator cuff. So hoping that’ll make my weak left rotator cuff stronger. Non dominant side... so not a big surprise the weak RC is causing problems from being excessively ‘loose’.
