    Possible surgery dates

    Hi Doreen,

Wow - either one of those dates is just around the corner! That is definitely good news for you because time just seems to stop when you have to wait for your surgery date to arrive. Whichever date it is will turn out to be the perfect one for you.

Well, you wanted an earlier date and now you've got two! I think I'd opt for the early January appointment myself so you could 'do' the holidays so to speak before your surgery... new year new woman, lol.

                Hi Doreen,

I too had surgery with Lenke and Kelly told me the earlier in the week you get your surgery is usually better because you get more help with phys ther while you are there as they typically come in on the 3rd or 4th day and if your surgery is Wednesday than that will be Saturday for P/T. But I totally understand any concern with the holidays approaching. Personally I had mine done Dec 13th and it didn't bother me to have it over the holidays but then again I have a lot of family who were great and were able to do a lot for me. Anyway, I hope you do what's best for you ~ Dr. Lenke is an EXCELLENT surgeon. Just remember to call and ask questions both before and after surgery. Take care and keep us posted which date you choose so we can say a prayer!

I agree with most, wait for after the Holidays--you're going to miss the first month after the surgery due to the drugs. I still have no idea where September went. :-)
