  • Doreen, sending you healing wishes. I broke 4 rods and the replacement was so much less traumatic than the initial fix. You are in great shape, so you will do well.

    2015: Rev Broken Bil T & L rods and no fusion: 2 revision surgeries; hardware P. Acnes infection
    2016: Ant/Lat Lumbar diskectomy w/ 4 cages + BMP + harvested bone
    2018: Removal L4,5 screw
    2021: Removal T1 screw & rod

          • I believe I did see Doreen in the waiting room at Dr. Lenkes office in NYC while I was there on my Feb. 21st visit. I was leaving out with my husband and think it was her sitting in the waiting room. I read some of here Bionic Blog and remember her picture from that. I would have spoke but I was pretty upset leaving after hearing about surgery.
