Can someone reccomend a scoliosis specialist in Houston or Texas for that matter. I am willing to travel to get the best care for my daughter. She has been through an initial growing rod surgery , two revisions, and the most recent surgery to remove the growing rods and do the final fusion since the growing rods were not working. During that surgery a staph infection was discovered so the growing rods were removed and the infection cleaned out and all hardware removed. She is now on antibiotic treatment orally for months to come and then we will face a final fusionand who knows how that will turn out. We have had her fitted for a brace in hope of controlling her curve that was 60 degrees before her first surgery 10 months ago. with the rods out and hopefully her staph infection under control, we would like to seek a second opinion. Any reccomendations?

You can find a list of specialists in Texas by clicking on the geographic tab. http://srs.execinc.com/edibo/PublicDirectory. Hostin, Hanson, Lagrone and O’Brien come to mind as particularly noteworthy. So sorry to read about all the suffering your daughter has had to endure.
