      Was 68 degrees, now 22 and pain free

        Bi-lateral laminectomy 2006
        Kyphoscoliosis, approx 38* lumbar scoliosis, stenosis, disk herniations, lower back and hip pain, w/radiating pain, stinging and numbness in legs.
        A/P fusion (T10-S2) 5/17/10 and 5/20/10

          Update 2

          Hello All,

          Thank you very much for your responses! I read them to Jamie and they made her day. Today is day 4 and Jamie is still in the hospital recovering. We got a private room so I could stay with her at all times and I think it was by far worth the extra cost.

          Jamie is doing fantastic! She is in a lot of pain and the meds are making her sick but she is handling it very well. She was able to finally hold down solid foods last night and she is making wonderful progress. The Dr's came to check her incision this morning and they are very happy with the results. We know that she is a bit taller but do not know the exact degree of correction just yet.

          We are both hoping to be released tomorrow or at the latest Sunday.

            Yes! There's nothing like good news that gets better first thing in the morning. Please tell JamieAnn I send a big high five.....or low five- or careful bedside five-for her courage and for reaching the other side.

                I couldn't agree more. Being home was the turning point for me. It's great to be home and in your own bed.
