Anyone know anything about Dr. Berven, San Francisco, UCSF.
Thank you for the info.

Dr. Berven is my surgeon, and I also worked for him for about 10 years. I'm happy to talk to you if you'd like. He's very conservative, which is why I think he's a good surgeon. He won't recommend surgery for someone, unless he's reasonable sure that he can help them.

Linda,
I am thinking about seeking a second opinion from Dr. Berven and would like your opinion about it. I have a kyphosis and positive saggital balance. It is very difficult to walk with forearm crutches as I look at the floor. My cervical area is quite painful.
My current surgeon is Dr. Abdul Jabbar who is one of the spine surgeons trained by Dr. Hart in Seattle. Dr. Hart retired. I asked him about a correction and he said that he does a correction like I would need every 2-3 months. I need a more experienced spine surgeon.
I hope that you can help me figure out my approach.
Susan
