  • Lenke surgery

So sorry I haven't been on since I was in St. Louis. Seems these days when I get tired or sleepy the ole gal just has to lay down for a few minutes.

I saw Dr. Lenke in St. Louis on 8/19 and I have to say he and his staff could not have been nicer or more understanding. He said he could see exactly why I am so miserable and in so much pain all the time. I have 89 degree thoracic curve and he said most likely the curve could affect my breathing capacity and he made me promise at that very time that I would not overdo it and when I became tired I laid down and rested. So, that's what I been doing this weekend. Still recovering from the trip and the loss of my brotherinlaw recently.
So, just wanted to let you know, everything I was told about Dr. Lenke was entirely true. He was worth the wait. My husband and I were there from 9am and didn't get out until 2:30pm. Very long day. I was very tired of sitting, standing and walking the halls.
I have surgery scheduled for May 12th. Although it is very long time from now, I will wait as long as necessary for Dr. Lenke. We thought the world of him and his staff. And, just the possibility of being 20 maybe 10 degrees someday almost seems like a dream......
