i was just wondering do they let only one parent stay in the hospital?

In Australia, and I'm pretty sure it is similar elsewhere, only one parent can stay bedside. But there is usually a parents hostel where the other parent can stay. Sometimes you can find cheap accomodation close by the hospital as well, especially if it is a children's hospital.

thanks cheryl, that's what i thought only one parent could stay i guess my husband and i will take turns, i know the first night after the surgery we would like to both be there, we'll see what happens.
