  • foam roller/ball exercises

At one of my PT appointments my PT had me use a soccer sized ball (that squishes a little- like a playground ball) and first sit on it then slowly move up my lower back then to the concave side near my hip and down my butt letting all my weight sink into the ball. I held each spot for about 2 minutes.

When I stood up I looked straighter!! (Left lower lumbar curve). My hips were more level, my left side did not bulge as far and my right side was not as sunken in. She did not tell me I would see something (incase you might be wondering if my mind was playing tricks on me) and she was as surprised as I was. The effect did not last the next morning I was back to my normal look but it gave me hope that she might be on to something...

Anyone have experience with this? Is this a similar affect that I would get with rolfing- assuming the ball was releasing some very deep dissue?
Working...
