Hi...
If you're fortunate enough to have some extra $, and have always wondered where it might be be used, I'd like to encourage you to consider FOCOS, Dr. Boachie's not-for-profit organization that travels to Ghana and the Barbados, to do scoliosis and club foot surgeries for that severely underserved area of the world.
In addition to opportunities to help fund a child for surgery, or other programs such as school screening, they've now kicked off an $8.5MM capital campaign to build a new 50 bed orthopaedic hospital in Ghana.
For information on helping, visit http://www.orthofocos.org.
Regards,
Linda
P.S. While you're at it, don't forget to make a yearly donation to the National Scoliosis Foundation, who make these forums possible.
