Hello, I got on someone else's thread and now that I know how to do my own, here I am. My 8 year old has been diagnosed with spondylolysis, spondylithesis and mild scoliosis. The spondyloysis are fractures in her back that keep the lumbar in place. She has 2 active fractures. The spondylithesis is when the lumbar is moved forward, which one of hers is 30% forward.
We have been to 2 different ped ortho doctors (both are hours away) but I think we are going to stay with the doc at Dartmouth Hitchcock medical center in New Hampshire.
My daughter, Joceyln, starts PT tomorrow 3x a week for the next 8 weeks then we go back.
She was give a script for ibuprofen, but it is bothering her stomach too much so we are going to alternate with tylenol. THey are worried the PT will make things worse.
The fun is just beginning!!! I am so glad I found this site, Spencer;s Dad, thanks for your support already! I so appreciate it!!!
