    same type of pain

Hi. I am post-op from October. I get shooting, burning pains across my shoulders and shoulder blades especially if I drive farther than usual. I was assuming they were related to muscle spasms. I plan to ask my doctor about it at my three month visit. It hurts a great deal and comes on unpredictably.

one step forward 2 steps back

I now have a lap top at school after many months of asking and waiting but things like cutting up food still hurts. also i chose art as a gcse option before my surgery so i didnt know i would have this problem and now my teacher has said that i can do all of my work on photo editing... all is well until you think of 2 years sat changing how a photo looks every lesson. its really getting me down. so i went to talk to my doctor and he has got me to go to physio but i have been going for weeks now and i dont find it is helping.

          Fay,

Have you asked him about maybe getting a prescription for nerve pain? My pain management doctor put me on that and I was really surprised at how much of what I was feeling was nerve pain. Have you asked your doctor to send you to a pain management specialist? That's where you would be able to get injections, some better meds, and things like that.
