  • Selecting an OB/GYN

Ok...so my husband and I are finally ready to take the leap into parenthood! We're not pregnant yet, but hope to be soon and I want to select an OB/GYN before getting pregnant to ensure that I select one that understands what I've been through with my back and will be able to really work with me during pregnancy and delivery to ensure that my body and the baby will be ok.

Other than consulting my surgeon to find out if he knows of any doctors who have worked with his previous fusion patients who became pregnant after surgery, how should I go about selecting an OB/GYN? Is there a specialty I should look for? What questions should I be asking perspective doctors?
