  • Breathing in a boston brace

I find it hard to breath in my brace.. And I can't sleep in it because it's so tight. What can I do to make myself more comfortable and make it easier to breathe? [FONT=century gothic]

Hello my name is Rebecca, and I wear a bostan brace too. You are right that it is hard to breath in the brace, but you will get used it. If it is hurting you too much, loosen it a little, and every day tighten it a little bit more, and you'll get used to it. And, as my mom says, "breathing is optional". Ha HA HA

It took me a while to get used to the tightness of the brace. My aunt said to keep it loose for about 2 weeks so that i can get used to it. When I first tried on my brace, I told the doctor "I cant breathe... its too tight" and my doctor said" Actually, this one's loose" I freaked out! The brace is meant to be tight so that it keeps the curve from getting worse. talk to you later!
