  • anyone have had their x-ray films mailed to them?

I managed to have the radiology office I got my x-rays taken 2 yrs ago to send the films to me. Although.. I think they are under the impression I am borrowing them.. I asked for copies (to keep) the girl on the phone didn't say anything about the copying costs..so hopefully.. I can keep them. If not, what are they going to do 500miles away? :-p

Anyway.. how are they mailed? is it obvious that they are x-rays? I had them send it to my work..and I'm not too keen on having to explain it to my co-wokers..who'd understand it perfectly, since our company does medically oriented work..but for some reason, I feel uncomfortable sharing my x-rays.

I recently contacted the hospital where my daughter is treated and ask for a copy of her most recent x-rays and they were actually on a disc for the computer. If that's the case for you, it would be less obvious that they are x-rays.

    Good luck.
