    Help!
I had to visit the E.R. room on tuesday because of severe low back pain and major muscle spasms from head to toe. I am in the process of switching my medical group to U.C. Davis medical center. I was transferred by ambulance, and was tossed aside for almost 4 hours before I started to hyperventilate. This was a pain I had not experienced before and I have been to the E.R. room on many occasions.
Has anyone else experienced this kind of bad luck?
I was there for over 15 hours before they gave me two doses of morphine and dilanta and told me to call home. I could not even get up. I have never been so humiliated. I was treated badly. They did do an MRI and MORE X-RAYS, and I could hear the unexperienced(teaching hospital) Doctor talking to the spine specialist. I picked this hospital because the spine specialist are members of the Scoliosis Research Society. When they said they couldn't find any new fractures, they said they don't know what to tell me. Every couple of hours, when the morphine would wear off, the pain would return a lot worse. I had to be catherized because I could not urinate. This started the night before. They said they could not find an oclusion so I could not even get a referral to see the spine specialist without going through the process of being referred by a primary care physician.
I'ts Friday and I am still not recovered. My son's fiance is a licensed massage therapist so she helped me yesterday. The muscle spasms in the upper back have subsided but she said the lower back was so hard she was afraid to touch it.
I contacted health care rights hotline and have yet to hear from them.
In fact I called them before this happened because of being constantly mistreated and diagnosed from Doctor to Doctor, or they just don't want to treat me because I am now on disability and have medical (state funded insurance).
I made an apt. with a well-known acupuncturist who was in the medical field and treated my son when he had a broken vertebrae.
I would like to hear from anyone who has been through this rough road.
    Any suggestions welcomed
